Israel releases a Lebanese shepherd who breached the border
The Israeli army announced that it had returned to Lebanon, the Lebanese shepherd, who was arrested last Tuesday, after he crossed the border with Israel in the Jabal Al-Rous region with his sheep.
The Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adrai, confirmed in a tweet on his Twitter account, “Usually a shepherd to Lebanon, the Lebanese cattle herder, via the Red Cross, via the Ras al-Naqoura crossing.
The Israeli army said last Tuesday that its members had arrested a Lebanese shepherd who had intentionally infiltrated the borders, and said that the Lebanese "belongs to a group that has been identified as cooperating with Hezbollah."
It seems that the shepherd was released after it was confirmed that he was just a shepherd with his sheep leading him to pasture, like any other place for shepherds residing near the border.
However, Israel’s fear of its neighbors and the threat of the Hezbollah militia, which is classified as "terrorist", affiliated with Iran, has devoted the fear of anyone passing by, even the shepherds.
