Modernizing port rules in the Gulf countries and enhancing cooperation in the field of land transport
Yesterday, the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Transport and Communications held its 23rd meeting - via visual communication - with the participation of all member states.
The committee discussed a number of issues related to the GCC railway project, the unified conditions and controls for granting licenses to command small marine units, updating the rules and instructions for ports in the GCC countries, and the regulations for the safety of ships with small loads in the GCC countries.
The committee also discussed issues of joint cooperation in the field of land transport, which are the unified system for international road transport between the GCC states, and the general framework for preparing traffic safety guidelines in the GCC countries.
This meeting comes within the framework of preparing for the 22nd meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Transport and Communications in the GCC countries, scheduled to be held on December 24th.
