The advisor of the Saudi royal court and the general supervisor of the King Salman Center for relief and humanitarian works, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, launched the Saudi (hearing) voluntary program for auditory rehabilitation and cochlear implants (includes 24 cochlear implant programs) and six other voluntary programs for earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey, in the presence of the governor of Gaziantep, Mr. Kamal tashbir.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah announced the launch of the largest voluntary humanitarian event for cochlear implants and auditory rehabilitation around the world, the Saudi hearing program for cochlear implants and auditory rehabilitation, consisting of (24) programs targeting (940) beneficiaries from the Syrian and Turkish peoples, in parallel with a number of voluntary programs in various specialties, including prosthetics, physiotherapy, psychological support, economic empowerment, food baskets and health bags, to benefit more than (5,000) members of the Syrian and Turkish peoples, and 1.000) temporary housing units in (3) areas in Hatay governorate expected to benefit (5.000) individuals in addition to (3,000) housing units have already been implemented equally between the affected people in Syria and Turkey, benefiting (12,000) people, bringing the cost of what was provided by the Kingdom represented by the King Salman Relief Center for those affected by the devastating earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey so far to the amount of 91.5 million US dollars, pointing out that this comes within the total assistance cost of (129.6) billion dollars provided to (169) countries around the world, of which the King Salman Relief Center provided (6.8) billion dollars, for (100) countries in cooperation with (187) partners, in order to implement (2.973) relief projects, stressing that the kingdom will remain committed to its consistent approach in delivering its lofty humanitarian message towards its brothers and friends And needy communities in all countries of the world.

The voluntary program for auditory rehabilitation and cochlear implantation was launched in Hatay province, which is the largest humanitarian program for cochlear implantation for children in the world, and includes in its first, second and third stages the conduct of 120 cochlear implant surgeries and the distribution of 375 stethoscopes to Syrian and Turkish children affected by the earthquake in the state, benefiting 495 individuals affected by the earthquake of Syrian and Turkish children, while in all stages of the program will be implemented 24 voluntary programs in the field of cochlear implantation benefiting 940 individuals, including intensive rehabilitation of the hearing impaired after their surgical procedures.

Al-Rabeeah also inaugurated the voluntary medical program for prosthetics and physiotherapy, which includes access to basic health services for those affected by the earthquake, such as the installation of prostheses and cosmetic, benefiting 169 individuals directly, including 69 individuals indirectly.Dr. Al-Rabeeah inaugurated the voluntary psychological support program for 750 residents of the camps in the city of reyhaniyeh in Hatay state, and His Excellency also inaugurated the voluntary training program for economic empowerment; with the aim of providing a number of specialized courses in the field of economic support benefiting 50 people with low income.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah also inaugurated the voluntary program for the distribution of food baskets in the earthquake-affected camps in the city of Reyhanli and the state of Gaziantep, benefiting 2,000 members of the Syrian and Turkish peoples, and the launch of the voluntary program for the distribution of Health bags in Gaziantep and Reyhanli, targeting 2,000 individuals affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
