His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, in a speech during the ceremony, thanked the Indonesian government and the university administration for awarding him an honorary doctorate, which he described as a badge of honor and pride from the Republic of Indonesia, with which we have solid and strong relations rooted in history.

        His Excellency conveyed the peace and greetings of the wise leadership in the Kingdom to the brotherly Indonesian government and people, and he also noted the role of Islamic universities in spreading Sharia sciences, which will contribute to the graduation of scholars, preachers and thinkers who will serve Islam.

During his speech, His Excellency touched on the efforts made by the Saudi leadership in serving Islam and Muslims, caring for education and supporting educational institutions and universities locally and globally. He also reviewed the efforts that the wise leadership is working on to spread moderate Islam, confront terrorism and extremism, and spread tolerance, love and peace.

 Subsequently, His Excellency the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Mr. Zain Al-Tawhid, delivered a speech in appreciation of the efforts of the Saudi leadership in serving Islam and Muslims in the world and taking care of the Two Holy Mosques, noting that King Salman leads the Kingdom firmly and moderately and seeks to unite the word of Muslims in the world.
