Amanat Al Sharqiya uses advanced technology equipment for rainwater dewatering
Beth: The Eastern Region Municipality has increased the number of its high-tech and advanced equipment used in dewatering rainwater, by adding seven new equipment equipped with high technologies, working to drain rainwater and enter the affected sites as a result of the high level of rainwater, with a capacity of 720 cubic meters per hour. As part of its proactive plan for rainwater drainage for this year's season 1443 AH, preparations and harnessing all capabilities to serve a number of critical sites for rainwater gatherings in the region, in addition to serving areas not served by drainage networks.
The Undersecretary for Reconstruction and Projects, Eng. Mazen bin Adel Bakharji, explained that the techniques that the Sharkia Municipality was keen to provide and increase their number to prepare for the rainy season, and which the Crisis and Risk Center in the Reconstruction and Projects Agency will work on, were represented in the Rapid Intervention Unit for dewatering rainwater, which are trucks that deal with The rainwater is drained through pumps supported by it, as they reach in a short time to the water-affected sites, which consist of a hydraulic pump, hydraulic hoses and rainwater dewatering hoses, and a submersible pump, which operates 24 hours and has a capacity to dewater 720 cubic meters per hour, It works within the rainwater treatment system that it has developed for rapid intervention and transfers it to the targeted sites for treatment in a shorter period of time to drain rainwater and focuses more on the speed of response.
The Under-Secretary for Reconstruction and Projects added that the Municipality is keen to take advantage of all modern technologies and employ them within its plans in speed of response and quick dealing with rainwater dewatering in places not served by rainwater drainage networks.
