Beth: His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Region, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, discussed today, Sunday 10/18/1442 AH, in the meeting room of the Secretariat, with Mr. Muhammad Al-Saeed, General Supervisor of Internal Auditing, Chairman of the Subcommittee for the Protection of Integrity at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, “Support The internal control system and the definition of the evaluation methodology, during the meeting of the Subcommittee on Internal Control and Protection of Integrity at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in the presence of officials and members of the committee from the Ministry and the Secretariat.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the Chairman of the Committee and the delegation, and affirmed that the concept of internal control is a comprehensive concept that includes all departments of the Municipality, especially since the municipal sector in the Kingdom has gone beyond multiple stages at the level of business and city management with strategic directions under our wise leadership - may God protect it -, where the Kingdom has achieved Advanced stages in this field, and in many other areas, His Excellency noted that the work does not stop at a specific stage, but rather requires sustainability, development and raising the efficiency of performance.

During the meeting, they discussed supporting the internal control system and introducing the evaluation methodology, in addition to reviewing the committee’s objectives aimed at developing the second line of defense and empowering departments through developing the governance system, risk management, developing cybersecurity, and developing monitoring of organizational maturity and excellence.

The committee aims to improve the quality of services provided by the Ministry and its affiliated bodies and to strengthen the internal monitoring system to preserve public money and protect assets.

The meeting was attended from the ministry by the general supervisor of the internal audit (head of the subcommittee on protecting integrity) Mr. Muhammad Al-Saeed, the director general of the internal audit (the secretary of the integrity protection committee) Mr. Tariq Al-Saad, the director of the technical audit (member of the committee's support team) Eng Khaled Al-Zahrani, and the director Financial and Administrative Risks (member of the Committee's Support Team) Mr. Abdul Malik Al-Jafal, and the General Administration for Support and Empowerment of Trustees, Muhammad Othman Al-Mazyad. Human Resources: Mr. Jamal Al-Sulaiman, the Director General of the Internal Audit Department, Mr. Hamdan Al-Dalbahi, the Director of the Information Technology Department, Engineer Nael Al-Hogail, the General Director of the General Department of Quality and Institutional Excellence, Engineer Ali Al-Qarni, and the Director of the Cybersecurity Department Muhammad Al-Shatri.
