Jeddah’s Corniche is hosting the latest generation of Formula E racing with the GEN3 EVO electric cars, in an event that blends high-intensity motorsport with advanced technology and sustainability—reflecting the shift of global motorsport toward smart, future mobility.

The GEN3 EVO marks a major performance leap, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 1.82 seconds—around 30% faster than current Formula 1 cars—thanks to an advanced electric powertrain and a newly engineered, more aerodynamic and robust chassis that enhances stability and efficiency on high-speed circuits.

The cars deploy all-wheel drive during qualifying, race starts and Attack Mode, delivering improved control and greater tactical flexibility for drivers. On sustainability, ION tires incorporate 26–35% recycled materials, while drivetrain efficiency exceeds 90%, compared with around 50% for internal combustion engines—within a low-carbon operating framework.

Technical upgrades have lifted overall speeds by around 2%, translating into time gains of roughly two seconds on benchmark circuits such as Monaco—underscoring that Formula E is no longer just a sustainability testbed, but a top-tier performance platform.
