Saudi Arabia unveils the headquarters of the Global Defense Exhibition in Riyadh
RIYADH - The Global Defense Exhibition, the global platform for operational harmony in the defense industry, organized by the Saudi Military Industries Authority, has revealed the venue for the Global Defense Exhibition in Riyadh.
The headquarters will be specially designed to host the exhibition and be equipped with advanced facilities and facilities in line with the vision of the exhibition to provide an exceptional experience for participants and visitors.
The exhibition’s residence will be completed in stages during the current year in preparation for the event to be organized once every two years, as the headquarters will be developed on an open plot of about 800 thousand square meters and equipped with the latest facilities and facilities to host the first edition of the event in March 2022 with expansion plans. Futuristic to keep pace with the next versions of the exhibition.
The exhibition's engineering drawings reflect the enormity of the Global Defense Exhibition and the great potential available to focus on operational integration and compatibility in the defense and security industry, as it will contain a 3-km-long and 50-meter-wide runway to host live displays of military aircraft as well as fixed aircraft and ground military equipment exhibits. The headquarters will also feature a virtual command center equipped with the latest systems and technologies from the world's leading defense companies, to demonstrate integration capabilities and operational synergies across various defense domains. Attendees will enjoy sitting in luxurious hospitality suites and conference rooms with stunning views that ensure a bird's-eye view of the runway and the surrounding areas that will host the live shows.
The design of the headquarters was inspired by the traditional architectural style in the Kingdom, and the exhibition halls were divided according to the markets and the participating countries into two halls with an area of 56 thousand square meters adjacent to the external exhibition areas for military and security products and equipment, and these two halls will allow the attendees to participate in communication sessions, exchange knowledge, and customized programs, in addition to Exhibits testing employing the latest technology to explore the future of the defense industry.
The CEO of the Global Defense Exhibition, Sean Ormrod, stated that the development of the ideal headquarters for the holding of the World Defense Exhibition was based on the possibility of providing all the latest equipment to host the global platform for operational coherence in the defense industry at an unprecedented level.
He explained that the design process focused on taking into account the main objective of the event, which is to facilitate communication between local and international stakeholders in the defense and security industry to conclude valuable partnerships and exchange experiences and knowledge.
