The Crown Prince announces the Kingdom’s donation of $3 million to support the Global Partnership for Education 2025 strategy

LONDON - Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense stressed the importance of concerted efforts to support international initiatives and programs that would enhance the economics of education and support educational systems in beneficiary countries to provide high-quality educational services to those who need them most, in The crisis of the Corona virus pandemic, whose effects continue to pose a major challenge to many education systems around the world.

This came in a speech delivered on behalf of the Crown Prince, Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, today, Thursday, at the World Education Summit “Financing Partnership for Education 2021-2025 AD” held in the United Kingdom, during which he announced the Kingdom’s donation of three million dollars to support the strategy Global Partnership for Education 2025.

It gives me great pleasure to be with you today, and to participate in the World Education Summit on behalf of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. At the outset, I would like to convey to you the greetings of my Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God preserve them - and the aspirations of His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the success of this summit, and for it to achieve its noble goals; I also thank His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya, Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta, and the Honorable Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mr. Boris Johnson, for hosting this important global summit.

I am also pleased to thank the Global Partnership for Education and commend its Chairman, Ms. Julia Gillard, and all partners in this leading global organization for the great efforts to provide high-quality education for all children, boys and girls around the world, and for their tireless efforts to improve access to education. Equitable and inclusive education, bridging educational and digital gaps and addressing all forms of inequality, especially in low-income countries, in line with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, which provides for “ensuring quality, equitable and inclusive education for all, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.” “.

And because this noble goal can only be achieved through international cooperation and joint action, and extending a helping hand to countries with limited resources, it is necessary to join efforts in supporting international initiatives and programs that would enhance the economics of education and support the educational systems in the beneficiary countries to be able to provide High-quality educational services for those who need them most, especially in light of the crisis of the Corona Virus pandemic, whose effects still pose a major challenge to many education systems around the world.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always attached great importance to education at the local, regional and international levels. This is evidenced by the inclusion of education as a main file on the agenda of the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20 2020 AD, and that education is a major component of the Kingdom’s vision 2030, and the Kingdom is the largest supporter For regional financial institutions such as: the Islamic Development Bank, the OPEC Fund (OFID), and the Arab Development Bank in Africa, which provide support to many countries of the world by financing projects and initiatives in various vital fields, especially the field of education.

As an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in this regard, I am pleased to announce, on behalf of His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated (3) three million dollars to support the Global Partnership Strategy for Education 2025, and to reiterate that the Kingdom You will always remain at the head of the countries contributing to everything that would achieve development, prosperity and peace for the peoples of the world as a whole.
