The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the execution of a special military operation aimed at cutting off vital sources used by the terrorist Houthi militia to sustain its war effort, including fuel storage, transportation, and unloading facilities in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Dhamar.

The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen revealed the targets included in the planning of the special military operation, explaining that Al-Sabaha Central Station in Sanaa, along with fuel storage and transportation facilities in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Dhamar, had been used, according to coalition information, to support the Houthi war effort.

Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the Joint Forces Command had established that the Houthis were using civilian facilities and vital resources to supply their arsenal of missiles and drones targeting Saudi Arabia and threatening navigation in the Red Sea.

The coalition reaffirmed its commitment to international humanitarian law and said it had taken all feasible precautions to avoid incidental civilian casualties and damage.

The statement followed a preliminary announcement of an evacuation warning, followed by the identification of Al-Sabaha Station in Sanaa, before the coalition disclosed the nature of the military use it attributed to that location and other facilities.

Full Text of the Statement

Coalition: A special military operation to neutralize vital sources sustaining the terrorist Houthi militia's war effort.

The official spokesperson for the Coalition Forces, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the coalition's Joint Forces Command had established that the terrorist Houthi militia was using civilian objects and vital resources to sustain its war effort, including Al-Sabaha Central Station in Sanaa, underground reserve fuel storage facilities, fuel tanks, and berths designated for the transportation and unloading of fuel in Hodeidah, Sanaa, and Dhamar.

The terrorist Houthi militia uses these facilities to directly support its terrorist military activities, while depriving the Yemeni people of the benefits of resources that should legitimately be allocated to meeting their needs.

The terrorist Houthi militia has used all these sites to support its war effort by supplying its arsenal of missiles and drones that threaten the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and endanger the safety of airports, ports, and commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

This has made a demonstrable contribution to the execution of hostile attacks against civilians and civilian objects, as well as to the planning of imminent attacks against civilian objects in the Kingdom and commercial vessels in international waterways.

Accordingly, this operation focused on neutralizing the capabilities used by the Houthi militia to threaten the Kingdom, Yemen, the southern Red Sea, and international waterways.

The Coalition Forces reaffirm their strict commitment to international humanitarian law. The coalition has taken all feasible precautions to avoid incidental civilian casualties or damage during the planning and execution of this operation.

The Houthis must immediately cease all terrorist operations targeting civilians and civilian objects, including airports, ports, oil facilities, and infrastructure.

BETH Analysis

The coalition's statement reveals a shift in military operations toward targeting the supply system on which the Houthi militia relies to sustain its attacks, rather than limiting operations to confronting missiles and drones after they have been prepared or launched.

The inclusion of fuel storage, transportation, and unloading facilities in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Dhamar reflects an approach aimed at weakening the logistical support network sustaining Houthi military capabilities and limiting the group's ability to prepare and continue its attacks.

The strategic importance of this move lies in its focus on the sources of the ability to wage war, rather than the weapons of war alone, extending the impact of military operations to the infrastructure that enables the militia to re-equip its forces and move its military equipment.

This approach also links the objectives of Operation “Dawn of Yemen” within Yemeni territory to efforts aimed at protecting Saudi Arabia and international maritime navigation from Houthi attacks.

The nature of the operation indicates that the coalition is moving toward continuing special military operations in parallel with the advance of government forces, creating an integrated approach that combines territorial control with the weakening of Houthi military and logistical capabilities.

The most significant implication is that the coalition is moving toward reducing the Houthis' ability to continue the war by disrupting the supplies that sustain their operations, giving the confrontation a strategic dimension extending beyond direct battlefield operations.
