Riyadh - March 8, 2022: The Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics revealed the results of the campaign “Towards Distinguished and Safe Roads” launched by the Ministry in its second year, aiming through it to survey all the road network in the Kingdom, thus contributing to raising the level of safety on road networks outside the urban area. .

672 employees and 136 students participated in the campaign, and the participants were distributed among 224 vehicles, and they carried out inspection and monitoring operations on 112 contracts of road projects in the Kingdom.

The results of the campaign witnessed the examination of the entire road network, whose total lengths exceeded 73,000 km, at a rate of 100%. 4,269 observations were also monitored through the 938 application, and 72 truck weighing stations were examined out of a total of 72 truck weighing stations.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics, through its launch of the campaign “Towards Distinguished Safe Roads”, aimed to survey the entire road network in the Kingdom, thus contributing to raising the level of safety on road networks outside the urban area, as well as maintaining the road infrastructure, making change to improve the quality of life, and limiting from optical distortion.

The Ministry allows all citizens to contribute and participate, by monitoring and photographing observations or visual distortion and submitting them through the 938 application. among all regions of the Kingdom according to safe and high standards that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and achieving the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics with regard to the road sector in the Kingdom, by ascending it to the sixth rank globally in the road quality index by 2030, while continuing its global leadership in the road networks interconnection index .
