Beth: The Municipality of the Eastern Province, in strategic partnership with the Eastern Development Authority, announced the award of the first model investment project for the standard beach to implement the standards of the Blue Flag Beach, which aims to develop an integrated, qualitative, environmentally friendly standard beach on the Corniche of Khobar Governorate for the first time in the Kingdom with an investment model in line with With the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

The project comes in partnership between the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the Eastern Development Authority, with the aim of raising the quality of life in the Eastern Province, and highlighting its position on the tourism, recreational and environmental map in the Arabian Gulf.

His Excellency the Mayor of the Eastern Region, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, stated that the project was launched in partnership with the Eastern Development Authority in stages to qualify the applicants to ensure the quality of the competitors and the project, with a limited building area to provide more spaces for hikers, explaining that the total revenues are approximately 120 million riyals, and the project will provide job opportunities. Al-Jubeir stressed that the "Standard Beach" project represents an extension of the pioneering investment projects in the Eastern Province in partnership with the private sector, and a national initiative between the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the Eastern Development Authority to enhance the diverse tourism, economic and recreational dimension of the region, with the aim of building a quality beach, tourist and recreational destination based on The application of international environmental standards, which will reflect positively on the quality of life for residents and visitors of the Eastern Province, and this experience will be reproduced in other locations, God willing, in line with the Kingdom’s directions in implementing international standards for beaches.
