Sergei Kozlov added that this step reflects the level and character of the distinguished relations between the two countries, which are progressing towards a strategic partnership under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Excellency President Vladimir Putin, in the interest of the two great countries, the region and the world at large.

The Russian ambassador concluded his statement by saying: "The joining of our brother and friend Tariq Al-Qahtani to the diplomatic team at the Russian Embassy in Riyadh enhances and develops fraternal relations.

In turn, Tariq Al-Qahtani thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God preserve them - for the development and advanced levels that Saudi-Russian relations have reached in all fields.
