Muscat - Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, received today Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, at the Al Alam Palace in the Omani capital, Muscat.

An official reception ceremony was held for His Highness.

The Crown Prince and the Sultan of Oman held a session of official talks.

They reviewed the brotherly relations between the two countries and aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The latest developments on the regional and international arenas were also discussed.

The session was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, Prince Turki bin Muhammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, and Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, National Security Adviser, Dr. Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce and Minister of Information in charge, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and Ambassador Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Sultanate of Oman Abdullah bin Saud Al-Enezi.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq hosted a luncheon in honor of His Highness the Crown Prince.

His Majesty the Sultan of Oman presented to His Highness the Crown Prince, the Oman Civil Order of the First Class, in honor of the fraternal ties, excellent relations and constructive cooperation, which is one of the highest Omani honors awarded to kings, heads of state, crown princes and heads of government.

Saudi Arabia and Oman signed memoranda of understanding worth $30 billion in several economic sectors, on the sidelines of the Crown Prince’s visit to Muscat.

A group of Saudi companies and a number of companies owned by the Oman Investment Authority and the private sector have signed 13 memoranda of understanding with a value of investments of $30 billion ..
