The Kingdom’s Indoor Rowing Championships kicks off on December 18
RIYADH - The Saudi Rowing Federation announced the launch of the second edition of the Kingdom's indoor rowing championship on December 18 in Riyadh, with the participation of more than 200 male and female players, with financial prizes of more than 100,000 riyals.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Rowing Federation, Ali Hussein Ali Reda, stressed that organizing this tournament aims to raise awareness and introduce the sport of rowing, and this tournament is important for the current rowing teams and athletes, explaining the federation’s endeavor to increase the base of players and facilitate the access of practitioners of this sport to their goal.
For his part, the Executive Director of the Federation, Yousef bin Wael Julaidan, explained that this tournament is a basic building block for discovering a number of athletes to be selected within various programs to develop them in the sport of rowing.
He added that the aim of this tournament is to achieve strategic goals aligned with the goals of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports regarding the dissemination of sports and the increase of its practitioners.
