The council reviewed the results ofthe strategic dialogue meetings between the Kingdom and the United States of America ... and dealt with the contents of the final statement of finance ministers and central bank governors of the G20 countries ... and continued the start of the second phase of the gradual return to performing Umrah.

 

NEOM - The Council of Ministers held its meeting Tuesday - via video communication - headed by the Custodian of theTwo Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, may God protect him.

At the start of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Council on the contents of the message that - may God bless him - received from his brother His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and what it contained in terms of reviewing the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.

The Council of Ministers noted the issuance of the noble royal decree to form the Shura Council, wishing the members of the Council success in carrying out their duties to serve the comprehensive development process that the Kingdom is witnessing under its wise leadership.

The Council appreciated the keenness of the Kingdom's presidency of the Group of Twenty, and the exceptional attention paid by the leaders of the group to discussing policies related to youth, their education and work, which was included in the speech of theCustodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God help him - at the conclusion of the activities of the Youth Communication Group (Y20).

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Information, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, stated that the Council of Ministers addressed the contents of the final statement of the finance ministers and central bank governors of the G20 countries, which was held under the presidency of the Kingdom, confirming that the visible signs of recovery on global economic activity following the gradual opening of the economy following the Corona pandemic They are bearing fruit, and the resolve to continue to use all available policy tools as appropriate to protect lives, jobs and livelihoods, support global economic recovery and improve the resilience of the financial system.

The Council reviewed the results of the strategic dialogue meetings between the Kingdom and the United States of America, and discussed strategic issues aimed at continuing and strengthening the partnership and cooperation between the two friendly countries in a number of areas, including combating extremism and terrorism, and confronting Iran's
destabilizing and threatening behavior in the Middle East and disrupting trade.Globalism.

The Council of Ministers also touched on the seventh forum for religious values ​​of the G20 summit, which was held under the presidency of the Kingdom and with the participation of about 500 personalities from 45 countries.

And His Excellency Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi indicated that the Council continued the start of the second phase of the gradual return to performing Umrah and prayer in the honorable kindergartenof the Prophet’s Mosque, for citizens and residents from inside the Kingdom.

The Cabinet was informed of the latest reports and developments regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, at the local and international levels.

The Council renewed the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the terrorist stabbing operation that took place in a suburb of the French capital, Paris.

Moreover ,the Council of Ministers reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in its study, and it also reviewed the findings of the Council ofvEconomic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers in this regard. 

The council concluded the following:

First: The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Foreign Affairs - or his deputy - to establish diplomatic relations at a non-resident ambassador level between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Tonga.

Second: The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Transport, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation - or his deputy - to discuss and sign with the Guatemalan side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of air transport services between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala.

Third: The Cabinet renewed the membership of a number of members of the General Commission for Survey's Board of Directors.

Fourth: The Cabinet approved amending its Resolution No. (406), dated 12/27/1433 AH, regarding arrangements for sons and daughters of a Saudi mother and a non-Saudi father.

Fifth: The Cabinet approved the organization of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases.

Sixth: The Cabinet approved adding a representative from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to the membership of the Secondment and Work Committee at regional and international organizations.

Seventh: The Cabinet approved a number of promotions at the 14th and 15th ranks.The Cabinet was briefed on a number of issues on its agenda and took relevant recommendations
