The Saudi-Pakistan Investment Forum discusses strengthening trade and investment partnership
RIYADH - The Saudi-Pakistan Investment Forum was held in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister of Finance Shaukat Tarin and Minister of Energy Hammad Azhar, with the participation of representatives of Saudi and Pakistani companies.
The Saudi Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, stressed the strength and strength of Saudi-Pakistani relations at all levels, indicating that the strategic partnership between the two countries is based on trust and a common vision for the security of the region and the world. Pointing to the ability of the Kingdom and Pakistan to enhance efforts to enhance and strengthen economic and investment relations, with their human capital, talents, natural resources and distinct geographical locations.
He pointed to the Kingdom's hosting of more than two million Pakistanis working in the Kingdom, in addition to the existing trade and investment links between the two countries, adding that today's forum provides an opportunity to explore ways to deepen investment cooperation in a way that promotes development and economic diversification for both countries.
He said that Saudi companies participating in the forum's work today are looking forward to exploring investment opportunities and expansion in Pakistan in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, construction, information and communications technology, finance, manufacturing, logistics and transportation, among others.
He said: The investment comes at the heart of the ambitious 2030 vision to promote growth and economic diversification, achieve sustainability and provide opportunities for the sons and daughters of the Kingdom. Therefore, His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - recently launched the National Investment Strategy - to create conditions and develop the business environment to make investment attractive to local and foreign investors.
The Pakistani Prime Minister commended the efforts made between the two leaderships to enhance investments between them, and expressed his support and welcome to Saudi companies in their second country, Pakistan.
It is worth noting that the work of the Saudi-Pakistani Investment Forum included several speeches for their Excellencies from the Republic of Pakistan, in which they touched on the economic environment in Pakistan and the stimulation of Saudi investments; In order to achieve more growth and prosperity in accordance with the vision and ambitions of the two brotherly countries, some of the leading companies in Saudi Arabia reviewed their investment capacity and great potential for investing inside and outside the Kingdom.
