General closure in six Russian regions due to the spread of Corona
Today, Monday, in six Russian regions, the general closure took effect, after the number of infections and deaths from the Corona virus rose to record levels.
By decisions of local authorities, restrictions were imposed on the work of organizations in the Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Kursk, Samara and Perm regions.
The general closure in Russia is expected to continue by November 7.
Last Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, in his meeting with members of the government, the imposition of an official holiday extending from October 30 to November 7, with pay, against the background of the high number of Corona virus victims in the country. At the same time, he called on the heads of the Russian regions to impose a general closure on their lands, starting from October 23, when needed.
