The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah: Restricting the permits to perform Umrah and prayer in the Two Holy Mosques to those who are married in two doses, starting from October 10

Makkah Al Mukarramah - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that, based on the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - for the health of pilgrims, worshipers and visitors in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health regarding the implementation of preventive protocols to prevent infection with the Corona virus.

It was decided that starting at six o’clock in the morning of Sunday 4 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1443 AH corresponding to October 10, 2021 AD; the following:

First: Restricting the issuance of permits to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque and to visit the Mosque of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for vaccinated people who have received two doses of the Corona virus vaccine approved in the Kingdom, and the cases excluded from taking the vaccine, as shown by the “Tawakulna” application.

Second: Guests of the Most Merciful who have completed the reservation and issuance of a permit to perform Umrah, prayer or visitation rituals without completing the two vaccination doses, the holders of these permits must hurry to take the second dose 48 hours before the date of the permit to avoid cancellation. Note that appointments are available to take and complete the vaccine doses at the vaccination centers throughout the Kingdom.

The Ministry indicated that all precautionary and preventive measures related to the epidemic are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
