Alrasheed and Aldossari participate in the 4th G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting

Beth: HE, the Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations, Mr. Abdulaziz Alrasheed, and HE the Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) for Research and International Affairs, Dr. Fahad Aldossari, participated in the 4th G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting under the Italian G20 Presidency. The meeting, held on 13-14 September in Naples, Italy, brought together representatives from all G20 members, guest countries and international and regional organizations. 

Building on the G20 agenda last year under the Saudi G20 Presidency, the meeting fostered discussions on the current global health initiatives and opportunities and challenges in the financial sector stemming from the development of market-based finance. G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies have also touched upon issues related to International Taxation, promoting investment in infrastructure, Policies to Support the Green Transition, Sustainable Finance and Policies for the Recovery.

This is the fourth official meeting under the Italian G20 Presidency. The meeting comes in preparation for the 5th and last G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting under the Italian G20 presidency, set to be held from on 7-8 October 2021. 

It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a member of G20 Troika, a three-member committee chaired by Italy as the current president of G20, the Saudi Arabia  (the former president), and Indonesia (the next president in 2022). Troika Committee aims to ensure that the G20 presidencies work collectively to achieve consistency and continuity of G20's agenda. Saudi Arabia remains committed to support the G20's efforts to achieve strong, balanced, sustainable and inclusive economic growth. ​
