Beth: The Eastern Province Municipality has approved four tourism and service projects in accordance with the Saudi Building Code.

She stated that the Permits Department of the General Department of Urban Planning in the Municipality approved a number of distinctive, touristic and service projects at the metropolitan level, according to the Saudi Building Code, which included the Fairmont Hotel in Al Khobar, the Experimental Complex in Al Khobar, a commercial administrative building in Al Khobar, and a modern commercial complex on the Beach Corniche, noting that these The projects were approved by His Excellency the Mayor of the Eastern Province, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir.

She said that His Excellency Al-Amin stressed the application of the Saudi Building Code on buildings and its follow-up in all stages, starting from design through supervision and implementation, in addition to the need to follow up on the work of engineering offices and the work they do of the code and not to be lenient in its application.

She indicated that the Saudi Building Code contributes to raising the quality of construction and ensuring the safety of individuals and facilities, because it is based on safety and public health and attention to sustainability. The accelerated urbanization in the Kingdom, noting that the executive regulations of the Saudi Building Code will contribute to raising the quality of construction and improving its performance, indicating that it includes 41 elements for classifying violations on the foundations and standards of the code, in addition to proposing regulations and executive regulations that oblige public and private agencies to implement the requirements and objectives of the code, while they will be subject to Buildings still under construction for public inspections.
