Saudi Arabia thwarted an attempt to smuggle 14.4 million narcotic tablets in an iron shipment from Lebanon

Today, Saturday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle 14.4 million narcotic tablets in a shipment of iron plates coming from Lebanon.
In addition, the spokesperson for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Major Muhammad Al-Nujaidi, stated that the proactive security follow-up to the activities of criminal networks - which specialize in smuggling narcotic substances into the Kingdom - resulted in thwarting an attempt to smuggle 14,400,000 amphetamine tablets, which were seized in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the Port of Jeddah. Al-Islami, hidden inside a shipment of iron plates coming from Lebanon.
