Today, Saturday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle 14.4 million narcotic tablets in a shipment of iron plates coming from Lebanon.

In addition, the spokesperson for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Major Muhammad Al-Nujaidi, stated that the proactive security follow-up to the activities of criminal networks - which specialize in smuggling narcotic substances into the Kingdom - resulted in thwarting an attempt to smuggle 14,400,000 amphetamine tablets, which were seized in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the Port of Jeddah.
