RIYADH - The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that the implementation of Ministerial Resolution No. 3337 of 15/7/1435 AH, which prohibits work under the sun, on all private sector establishments will start from Tuesday, 5 Dhu al-Qi`dah 1442 AH corresponding to June 15, 2021 AD, from 12 noon to 3 pm, until Wednesday, Safar 8, 1443 AH, corresponding to September 15, 2021 AD.
His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, had issued a ministerial decision on October 29, 1442 AH, approving the procedural manual for occupational safety and health to prevent the effects of exposure to sunlight and heat stress, and obligating private sector establishments to implement this decision.
The decision comes within the framework of the Ministry's keenness to preserve the safety and health of workers in the private sector, and its commitment to providing a healthy and safe work environment for workers and to spare them from what may cause them health risks, in accordance with occupational safety and health considerations.
The Ministry calls on employers to regulate working hours and take into account the provisions of this decision, as the ministry seeks to provide a safe work environment from various risks, raise the level of efficiency and means of prevention to reduce occupational injuries and diseases, and protect workers from accidents, which will be reflected in improving and increasing productivity. .
