Tomorrow evening, the Governorate of Diriyah will host the seventh season of the World Championship "EPB Formula E 2021", which is being held in the Kingdom for the third time in a row at the Circuit of Diriyah, and for two consecutive days, organized by the Ministry of Sports, and in cooperation with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation .
The competitions of the first and second rounds of the "Formula E Diriyah 2021" race (Friday and Saturday) will be held under the lights, at 8:00 pm, for the first time in the history of the "Formula E" world championship, as the tracks of the Circuit Diriyah are equipped with LED technology with low consumption. , Which is powered by renewable energy, as it contributes to reducing energy consumption by 50%, within the framework of implementing the best global initiatives in the field of environmental and economic sustainability, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
On this occasion, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, said: “For the third consecutive season, we are proud in the Kingdom to host the Formula E Diriyah race. 24 contestants from different countries of the world (France, Switzerland, Germany, Britain, Portugal, Brazil, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium) participate in the race, representing (12) international teams, and they are: Invision Virgin Racing (Britain) - Mercedes Benz EQ ( Germany) - Dragon Penske Autosport (USA) - New 333 - (China) - Jaguar Racing - (Britain) - Audi Sport Apt Scheffler (Germany) - DS Cheetah (China) - Nissan e Dams (France) - BMW Andretti Motorsport (USA) - Mahindra Racing (India) - TAG Heuer Porsche - (Germany) - Rocket Venturi Racing (Monaco).
