His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Salman Oasis for Science, today chaired the meeting of the 9th Executive Council of the Oasis.
He discussed with the members of the Executive Council the progress of work on the Oasis project, the preparatory programs for its opening soon and the benefit of the important enrichment programs it contains, praising the importance of continuing serious work so that this oasis - which is honored in the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - is a beacon of knowledge, knowledge and enrichment on various The levels, including the important programs and advanced technologies it contains.
His Highness urged the importance of highlighting the role of the people and companies who contributed and sponsored the project, preserving their right to show their contributions steadily in the oasis, and honoring them in a manner appropriate after the opening, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the supporters and all the contributors who brought the project to this distinguished stage.
The Council appreciated the role of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology as a founding partner and the city's primary role in supporting the operation and development of the oasis. It also appreciated the Royal Commission for the Development of the City of Riyadh and its institutional efforts since the launch of the project in terms of designs and supervision of the implementation. The oasis is a strategic project for Riyadh as the capital, the region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In disseminating the various applied sciences and their economics, the council also directed to submit proposals for the next phase of the oasis regarding the opening of branches for it in the governorates of the Riyadh region and the rest of the Kingdom, including financing channels and institutional integration with the relevant authorities.
For his part, His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Charitable Foundation, appreciated the great effort led by His Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to establish this great edifice bearing the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - who embraced The idea and believed in it and kept up with all the stages of establishment until it became a reality, and His Highness said: “A testimony to history, had it not been for the efforts of Prince Sultan bin Salman, this project would not have been established nor received the highest donations from citizens and companies, and what we see today reflects the vision and ambition of His Highness, which has no ceiling. .
In turn, the CEO of the Royal Commission for the Development of Riyadh, Fahd Al-Rasheed, affirmed the commission’s interest in the project, which is qualitative in its idea, design and construction, and bears the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - who is considered a symbol of the nation and a builder of Riyadh, and that the Commission sees this project as a basis for it. Riyadh is in line with its identity and its future directions.
