At the beginning of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Council of Ministers on the contents of the written message that he received - may God help him - from his brother His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and the emphasis it contained on strengthening the bilateral relations that bind the two countries and the two brotherly peoples in different Domains.

The council then discussed developments related to the Coronavirus pandemic at the local and international levels, the latest recorded virus statistics in the Kingdom, and the work of the national campaign for vaccination with the vaccine, in light of the resumption of the supply of vaccines, the arrival of new batches of them, and the opening of centers to administer the vaccine in various regions, in implementation of the kind directives, And within the continuous efforts of the concerned authorities; To preserve the health of citizens and residents and limit the spread of the virus.

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Information, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, stated that the Council of Ministers touched on the results of the Kingdom's initiatives aimed at supporting the stability of global oil markets and the sustainability of its supplies to the world, with the aim of mitigating the effects of the Corona pandemic, enhancing energy security and market balance, pointing to What the Kingdom affirmed at the World Energy Forum, the International Energy Agency and OPEC, of ​​the importance of cooperation to confront the challenges of the pandemic and limit its impact on global economic growth, and work to overcome them through collective action, dialogue and transparency of data in the field of energy, and accelerate joint efforts, in fulfillment of what the Kingdom has dedicated during Its presidency of the G20 countries.

The Council reviewed a set of reports on the course of the situation and its developments in the region and the world, expressing the Kingdom's aspiration for the brothers in Somalia to reach a solution by peaceful means, in a manner that preserves its security, stability and unity, and to spare its brotherly people all harm and harm, in light of the developments of the events that have occurred. It resulted in deaths and injuries in the capital, Mogadishu.
