The CEO of the "Red Sea" and "Amala" project, John Pagano, announced that the Amaala project has signed about 100 contracts so far worth 4.1 billion riyals, indicating that the Kingdom aspires through these projects to give various options for tourists to explore.

In a press statement, Pagano explained that the financing strategy of "Amala" is similar to that of the "Red Sea" project, as it is supported by the "Public Investment Fund", which provides the largest proportion of the financing, indicating that the two projects are 200 km from each other and will include 11 thousand hotel rooms together.
Regarding the "Red Sea" project, he added that the number of workers in the project has reached more than 5 thousand workers in the field of construction now and their number is increasing daily, indicating that the company is looking forward to reaching 24 thousand workers in the middle or end of 2022.
Pagano indicated that the companies "Nesma" and "The Buildings" have reached an advanced stage in preparing the runways and navigation systems at the project airport, while the company is currently seeking to offer contracts for the airport buildings, indicating that the first stage of the project includes the development of 5 islands out of the 22 islands that are being developed.
