US-Iran War | Trump Faces a Decisive Choice

The war has entered a new political phase following the Republicans' loss of control of Congress, raising questions about President Donald Trump's ability to continue military operations or reach a negotiated settlement.

Trump confirmed that US strikes had targeted an air defense facility on Iran's Qeshm Island, while Tehran described Washington's response to proposals for reopening the Strait of Hormuz as unconvincing.

Qatari mediation continues, while Iran insists on easing sanctions and maritime restrictions in exchange for reopening the strait.

BETH Analysis | Trump now faces two choices: reaching a settlement that ends the war without allowing the Iranian regime to dictate its terms, or pursuing military escalation that could alter the balance of power but increase the war's political and economic costs.

Operation Dawn of Yemen | Confrontation Expands

Yemeni government forces and the coalition continue operations targeting Houthi military capabilities amid ongoing missile and drone attacks.

The coalition announced that it intercepted and destroyed three drones targeting areas of Saudi Arabia on November 3. Meanwhile, humanitarian conditions in Taiz are deteriorating as a result of the Houthi siege of residents, continuing clashes, and difficulties in delivering supplies.

Operation Dawn of Yemen: One-Month Military Results

The Yemeni government has announced the results of the first month of Operation “Dawn of Yemen,” launched on October 4, 2026, with the aim of restoring state institutions and ending Houthi control over areas under the group’s authority, with support from the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.

According to official figures released by Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, 40,761 targeting operations were carried out, resulting in the neutralization of approximately 20,000 Houthi fighters and commanders, and the destruction or disabling of more than 5,000 military vehicles and pieces of equipment.

The operations covered multiple fronts as part of efforts by the Yemeni Armed Forces and the coalition to weaken Houthi military capabilities, particularly missile systems, drones, and weapons supply and storage facilities.

The announced figures reflect the intensity of military operations during the first month. However, they do not provide a separate breakdown of the operations conducted by Yemeni forces and those carried out by the coalition.

BETH Analysis | What Has Been Achieved After One Month?

The official figures indicate an expansion in the scope of operations and continued strikes against Houthi military capabilities. However, assessing their effectiveness requires looking beyond the number of strikes and reported losses.

The most important measure is whether these operations have translated into sustainable territorial gains, improved security in liberated areas, and a reduced Houthi ability to threaten Saudi territory and international maritime navigation.

Gaza and Lebanon | A Truce That Has Not Ended the Fighting

Israeli strikes have continued in Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement, while arrangements concerning Israeli withdrawal, Hamas disarmament, and reconstruction remain stalled.

In Lebanon, tensions persist in the south, amid warnings of a potential security vacuum if the mandate of the United Nations Interim Force expires without alternative arrangements.

Sudan | Drones Expand the Threat

Damazin, the capital of Blue Nile State, has been subjected to successive drone attacks attributed to the Rapid Support Forces, amid clashes and power outages.

Earlier, an attack on a fuel station in South Kordofan killed at least seven people and injured 36 others.

These attacks demonstrate how the danger is spreading beyond battlefronts to essential services and civilian infrastructure.

Russia and Ukraine | Deadly Strikes Ahead of Talks

The death toll from a Russian strike on a site used to distribute humanitarian aid in the Zaporizhzhia region has risen to 40, while extensive drone attacks have disrupted electricity and water supplies in parts of Kyiv.

These developments come ahead of talks scheduled in Abu Dhabi for November 10–11, amid continuing disagreements over territory and security guarantees.

BETH Analysis | Wars Outpace Solutions

The battlefronts differ, but the underlying problem is recurring: the parties' ability to continue fighting exceeds their ability to agree on the conditions for ending their wars.

In the coming period, the real test will not be declaring victory or reaching a temporary ceasefire, but establishing settlements that prevent renewed fighting and protect civilians and the stability of nations.
