Key Developments

Operation “Dawn of Yemen” entered its 25th day amid continued fighting on several fronts and strikes targeting Houthi positions and supply lines, alongside repeated attacks on civilian facilities in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Aden Airport: The Yemeni military announced that the Houthis targeted the international airport with two ballistic missiles on Wednesday evening, for the sixth time, causing civilian injuries and material damage and disrupting air traffic.

Battlefronts: Airstrikes targeted Houthi positions in Taiz, including sites in the western part of the governorate, while government forces reported inflicting losses on the Houthis during clashes in Lahj. The Giants Brigades reported destroying a Houthi ammunition truck on the Kahboub front.

Attacks on Saudi Arabia: The Coalition announced the interception of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward the Eastern Province on Thursday morning, following the interception of another missile directed toward Taif on Wednesday, as part of the continuing attacks on the Kingdom.

Coalition Operations: Military operations continue to disable Houthi missile launchers, storage facilities, and supply lines, with a focus on reducing their ability to launch missiles and drones.

Analysis

The confrontation is widening, but a decisive outcome on the ground has yet to be achieved.

The operations indicate continued targeting of Houthi military capabilities. However, the militia continues to carry out terrorist attacks against civilians in populated areas of Yemen, as well as against Aden Airport and Saudi Arabia.

The Taiz, Lahj, and Bab al-Mandab fronts remain important for assessing the progress of government forces, securing positions, cutting supply routes, and maintaining control of territory.

Commentary

The challenge facing Operation “Dawn of Yemen” is no longer solely the scale of force used, but turning that force into sustainable results on the ground.

With the Iranian regime preoccupied with its confrontation with the United States, the importance of continuing to weaken Houthi capabilities becomes increasingly evident. However, a decline in Iranian support should not be assumed to lead automatically to the militia's collapse, given its stockpiles of weapons and ammunition stored in mountain caves and caverns.

The measure of progress remains: protecting civilians, reducing attacks, and establishing full control over the territory.
