Key Developments
Operation “Dawn of Yemen” entered its twenty-fourth day amid continued military operations by government forces, supported by the coalition, focusing on Houthi positions, fortifications, and supply lines, particularly in Taiz and the western coast.
Field Operations: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced carrying out 1,382 targeting operations over the past hours, covering command centers, fortifications, firing positions, gatherings, and Houthi reinforcements. They reported neutralizing approximately 440 fighters and commanders and achieving new territorial gains in Taiz Governorate.
Coalition Strikes: The coalition announced a special operation that included the destruction of five tunnels used to store ballistic missiles, four launch platforms, and a missile depot, in addition to targeting fortifications and supply routes. It also announced the destruction of two launch platforms in Sana'a, one of which had been used to launch a missile toward Riyadh.
Attacks on Saudi Arabia: Air defenses intercepted a ballistic missile heading toward Taif on Wednesday morning, following the interception of two missiles heading toward Riyadh on Tuesday. Civil Defense reported material damage to a building, a project under construction, and a vehicle as a result of falling interception debris in the capital.
Analysis
Operations are moving toward dismantling the Houthis' military capabilities, while ground confrontations continue to recapture positions.
The targeting of tunnels, launch platforms, command centers, and supply lines reflects an effort to weaken the militia's ability to launch missiles and reinforce its fronts, alongside the advance of government forces in some positions in Taiz.
However, continued missile launches toward Saudi Arabia confirm that the Houthis still retain the capability to carry out attacks, despite the strikes targeting their military infrastructure.
Commentary
The Taiz and western coast fronts, along with the dismantling of the missile network, remain key indicators for assessing the course of the operation in the coming days.
