Operation “Dawn of Yemen” entered its 21st day amid continued fighting in Taiz, Al-Jawf, Lahj, and Saada, with intensified air and ground strikes targeting Houthi positions, command centers, and weapons depots, alongside new missile attacks against Saudi Arabia.
Advances in Taiz
Field reports indicated that government forces had recaptured high ground on Mount Sabir, south of Taiz, and advanced toward positions near the Al-Hanjar area west of the city, while clashes continued around the old airport.
The Yemeni army announced that it had carried out three airstrikes against Houthi gatherings and positions in Tabbat Al-Dhanin, Wadi Hanash, and Ghurab in western Taiz, in addition to targeting a command-and-control center and two tanks inside the abandoned Sofitel Hotel east of the city.
Strikes on Several Fronts
Government forces targeted command centers, weapons depots, fortifications, and supply lines in Taiz, Al-Jawf, and Lahj, while coalition aircraft carried out airstrikes on Houthi positions in Kitaf and Al-Buqa in Saada Governorate.
On the Kahbub front overlooking Bab Al-Mandab, the Nation's Shield Forces and the Giants Brigades announced that they had repelled a Houthi attack lasting approximately 30 hours, maintained control of their positions, and shot down attacking drones.
Attacks on Saudi Arabia
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the interception and destruction of ten ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia toward the southern region, a cruise missile heading toward Khamis Mushait, as well as a ballistic missile and two drones in the Riyadh region.
The escalation followed Saturday's interception of two missiles heading toward Taif and Yanbu, with fragments falling near the holy sites and at other locations.
Direction of Operations
Developments indicate that government forces are continuing to target Houthi combat capabilities and supply lines, alongside advances and the seizure of new positions.
