King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has announced the reassignment of terminals for flights operated by national carriers, effective Sunday, October 25, 2026. Terminal 1 will be designated for domestic flights, while Terminal 2 will serve international flights.

Airport management has urged passengers with confirmed bookings to contact their airlines to verify the status of their reservations and flights before heading to the airport, and to comply with operational instructions.

The announcement is particularly important for passengers, as the redistribution of flights between terminals requires travelers to confirm the terminal assigned to their flights rather than relying on previous travel information.

The new terminal allocation follows a major redistribution of flights implemented last February as part of an operational plan aimed at improving airport efficiency, enhancing the passenger experience, and facilitating travel between domestic and international flights.

Under the previous arrangement, Terminals 1 and 2 were designated for international flights operated by national carriers, while Terminals 3 and 4 served their domestic flights.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines and confirm their departure terminal and flight status before leaving home to avoid arriving at the wrong terminal.
