SAR 3.75 Billion Investment to Establish an AI Data Center East of the Capital, with Capacity Reaching 200 Megawatts… Initial Operations in 2028

Riyadh | BETH – October 20, 2026

HUMAIN plans to develop a new artificial intelligence data center in the Saad area east of Riyadh, with an investment of SAR 3.75 billion, as part of its expansion of advanced computing infrastructure in the Kingdom.

The company has launched a tender for the project, which will be developed on a 350,000-square-meter site, with an initial operating capacity of 100 megawatts, potentially doubling to 200 megawatts during subsequent expansion phases.

The first phase is scheduled to become operational in 2028, strengthening Saudi Arabia's capacity to host and operate artificial intelligence applications requiring substantial computing power.

The project represents an addition to Saudi Arabia's investments in digital infrastructure and supports its efforts to develop domestic capabilities in data processing and high-performance computing, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
