Riyadh | BETH – October 15, 2026

Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, announced that Saudi armed forces had destroyed 127 Houthi weapons storage facilities in mountainous areas over recent days, along with several missile launch platforms, as part of military operations aimed at neutralizing the group’s offensive capabilities.

Speaking at a press conference, Al-Maliki revealed that the Houthis had carried out approximately 20 attacks against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh since October 1, while also attempting to target dozens of airports, oil facilities, and ports across Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that these attacks threaten regional and international security, as well as aviation safety.

He explained that Saudi forces had conducted a precision military operation in response to attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport and other airports, reaffirming that the Kingdom possesses advanced combat systems and maintains a high level of operational readiness to counter Houthi threats.

Al-Maliki also stated that the Houthis had acquired advanced technologies with assistance from regional actors, enabling them to deploy drones and fast attack boats in their operations.

He described attempts to target the Two Holy Mosques as serious attacks against Islam’s holiest sites, stressing that attacks on civilian airports endanger the lives of thousands of passengers.

During the press conference, the coalition presented video footage showing the destruction of ballistic missile storage facilities in the mountains of Sanaa and Houthi missile launch platforms.

BETH Analysis | Targeting the Sources of Threat

The announced operations reveal a shift in military efforts from intercepting attacks to targeting the combat infrastructure used by the Houthis to launch them, particularly missile storage facilities and launch platforms.

The destruction of 127 storage facilities is significant in weakening the Houthis’ ability to store weapons and prepare attacks, while strikes against launch platforms aim to reduce their capacity to carry out missile launches.

The repeated attacks on airports underscore that protecting civilian infrastructure and aviation safety has become a central component of military operations, alongside the continuing “Dawn of Yemen” campaign to reclaim territories under Houthi control.
