Diriyah Company CEO Jerry Inzerillo revealed plans to increase the number of cranes operating at the Diriyah project to 200 by 2028, alongside the expansion of construction activities across various parts of the project.

The target reflects the scale of urban development planned over the next two years, with multiple projects continuing across cultural, tourism, hotel, residential, and commercial facilities.

The announcement follows Diriyah Company's award of two construction contracts on October 5, with a combined value of SAR 2.729 billion, to develop five luxury hotels and three hotel residence buildings in Diriyah Square, as part of plans to create an integrated destination for living, working, and visiting.

The company had previously announced contracts for developing the northern area, infrastructure works, and excavation, as part of the gradual expansion across the project's various areas.

The Diriyah project is one of Saudi Arabia's major projects associated with the objectives of Vision 2030, combining the preservation of Diriyah's historical heritage with the development of new urban, tourism, and cultural facilities.

The target of reaching 200 cranes indicates an expansion in simultaneous construction activities across multiple sites, while progress in implementation and the completion of facilities according to established schedules remain the most important benchmarks for measuring the project's development.
