Operation “Dawn of Yemen” entered its tenth day with continued fighting between government forces and the Houthi militia in several governorates, coinciding with a shift in coalition air operations toward targeting facilities and installations used by the Houthis, according to coalition statements, to sustain their military capabilities.
Developments reflect the continued expansion of the confrontation across ground fronts and the military supply system, along with the ongoing advance of government forces supported by sustained Saudi air operations, while intermittent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia continue.
Taiz and Marib: Ongoing Battles
The Al-Dhabab front west of Taiz witnessed fierce clashes over the past several hours, alongside continued fighting on other axes in the governorate.
In Marib, clashes continued on the southern and northern fronts, with the Media Center of the Yemeni Armed Forces publishing footage of Houthi fighters withdrawing from positions south of the governorate.
Military activity also extended to fronts in Lahj and Al-Jawf.
Coalition: Targeting Supply Sources
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy announced the execution of a special military operation against vital sources used by the Houthis to support their war effort, including the Central Al-Sabaha Station and facilities for storing, transporting, and unloading fuel in Sana'a, Hodeidah, and Dhamar.
The coalition confirmed that these sites had been used to support the missile and drone arsenal threatening Saudi Arabia and international shipping.
The operation comes as part of an approach aimed at reducing the Houthis' ability to continue fighting and re-equip their forces.
Saudi Arabia: Intercepting Attacks
The coalition announced the interception and destruction of Houthi missiles and drones targeting Saudi regions, including Riyadh and the southern and eastern regions.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy also announced that an administrative building belonging to Aramco in Dhahran had been attacked, causing a limited fire without any injuries.
These developments confirm the continued targeting of Saudi civilian and economic facilities alongside military operations in Yemen.
BETH Analysis
Day 10 reveals two complementary tracks: ground operations aimed at expanding government control, and special strikes seeking to weaken the Houthis' military supply system.
Ground advances provide government forces with new positions, while disrupting supplies aims to reduce the Houthis' ability to support their fronts and prepare attacks.
Meanwhile, continued attacks on Saudi Arabia present an additional security challenge requiring ongoing protection of civilians and vital facilities.
The most significant implication is that the confrontation is moving toward targeting the Houthis' ability to sustain their operations, rather than merely their deployment positions, while consolidating territorial gains and reducing threats remain two key measures for assessing the operation's results.
