Dhahran Expo has unveiled a package of new expansion projects for its exhibition center in Al Khobar, as part of an integrated development aimed at enhancing the city’s capacity to host major exhibitions, conferences, and events, while increasing the service and tourism capacity of the surrounding area.

The projects include the development of a 175-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel, a 13,000-square-meter events hall, an interactive fountain, and a parking building with capacity for up to 4,000 vehicles, in addition to a commercial and entertainment district.

The expansion reflects a shift in exhibition centers from the traditional concept of standalone halls toward integrated destinations that bring together accommodation, events, retail, and entertainment in one location.

The project also adds a new dimension to Al Khobar’s ongoing urban and economic development and strengthens its position as one of the leading business and events cities in the Eastern Province.
