A national platform connecting 73 operations centers and more than 30 entities and facilities, while providing 123 automated services to protect critical infrastructure and accelerate emergency response

The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of the High Commission for Industrial Security, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, today launched, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, the Commission’s unified platform and operations center, “Murqib”, as part of a digital system designed to raise the readiness of critical facilities and strengthen the speed of response to incidents and emergencies.

The platform provides 123 automated services and integrates with more than 30 entities and facilities, with the aim of unifying digital services and operational procedures, improving their efficiency, strengthening governance, and supporting digital transformation in the industrial security sector.

73 Operations Centers

“Murqib” serves as an integrated national center monitoring more than 73 operations centers across the Kingdom, while enabling the immediate exchange of information and reports and providing a unified operational picture for the relevant authorities.

The center includes a crisis management room, a communications center, and the National Industrial Critical Communications Network.

The new system enables faster coordination among the concerned entities, supports decision-making during incidents, and enhances readiness and business continuity.

Protecting Critical Facilities

The importance of “Murqib” goes beyond the digitalization of services. It moves industrial security management from multiple separate monitoring centers toward an interconnected national network that brings information, reports and critical communications together within a single operational picture.

This strengthens the ability of the relevant authorities to detect incidents and respond to them, particularly at critical facilities linked to energy, industry and infrastructure.

During the visit, the Minister of Interior also reviewed the Commission’s institutional archive documenting the development of industrial security in the Kingdom, as well as the work of its media center and its role in communicating with beneficiaries.
