Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle brand showcases part of the technologies and systems planned for its vehicles, along with early exterior design features, as it moves closer to commercial launch

CEER, a company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has revealed part of the technologies and systems that will be integrated into its electric vehicles, along with early exterior design features, in a step that brings the project closer to commercial launch.
CEER is Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle brand and is developing vehicles for the Saudi and Gulf markets, including sedans and sport utility vehicles, using licensed component technologies from BMW.
The company says its vehicles will feature advanced technologies, smart capabilities and digital connectivity aimed at reshaping the driving experience, while its announced plans point to the launch of an electric vehicle during 2026.
The CEER project goes beyond producing a locally made car. It is part of a broader effort to build an integrated electric vehicle industry in the Kingdom, covering manufacturing, engineering, supply chains and the development of national talent.
The Public Investment Fund expects CEER to contribute around $8 billion to Saudi GDP by 2034, while creating up to 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.
BETH Comment
The significance of the latest reveal is that CEER is beginning to move the Saudi car from the concept stage to visible form.
Once the technology and design begin to emerge, the question becomes less about whether the car can be built, and more about when it will be seen on the road — and how strongly it can compete.
That is where the real test begins.
