Thousands of autonomous trucks, a Saudi AI computer, and computing capacity going live — Day Two reveals the Kingdom’s shift from building AI infrastructure to putting it to work

On its second day, LEAP 2026 began revealing the practical side of the massive technology investments announced in Riyadh, as the focus shifted from data centers and computing capacity to self-driving trucks, AI-powered computers, and computing infrastructure already entering operation.

HUMAIN and Applied Intuition announced a collaboration aimed at deploying and operating thousands of autonomous trucks along key logistics corridors across the Kingdom by 2030, marking HUMAIN’s entry into “physical AI” — where intelligence moves beyond software and into machines operating in the real world.

A Computer for AI

Closer to the end user, HUMAIN and Microsoft expanded their partnership with the launch of the HUMAIN AI PC, powered by Windows. The first generation is scheduled to become available to enterprises on September 20, with a target of reaching one million devices across the Middle East and Africa by 2030.

Behind these applications, the infrastructure needed to power them is also coming online. AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN announced the activation of AI computing capacity in the Kingdom as part of an expansion targeting 250 megawatts, with plans to scale further in the coming years.

$15 Billion

The fifth edition of LEAP opened in Riyadh yesterday with more than $15 billion in announced investments, launches, and partnerships spanning artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

The conference runs through September 3, bringing together more than 1,000 speakers, 1,800 technology companies and brands, and 600 startups.

But the headline figure is no longer the only story of LEAP.

The story emerging today is what those billions will bring into the street, the office, and the factory.

AI in Saudi Arabia is no longer being built only inside data centers.

It is beginning to drive trucks, enter computers, and prepare to work in the real world.
