Under the Patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.. The 10th Edition of the “Future Investment Initiative” in Riyadh in October
Riyadh | BETH
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God support him, Riyadh will host the 10th edition of the Future Investment Initiative Conference from October 26 to 29, 2026, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, under the theme “The Power of Legacy.”
The royal patronage gives the 10th edition a significance that extends beyond its economic importance, as it comes after a full decade during which the initiative transformed from an annual conference bringing investors together into an international platform discussing capital flows, technology trends, geopolitical transformations, and the future of the global economy.
The exceptional edition is expected to bring together heads of state, investors, policymakers, innovators, and business leaders to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of investment and the economy.
Four Pillars
The conference program is based on four main pillars:
- Capital that builds.
- Technology that elevates.
- Societies that thrive.
- Leadership that inspires.
These pillars do not merely represent an organizational division of the program; they outline a broader vision of the relationship between investment and the results it leaves in the lives of societies.
Capital is no longer measured by the size of returns alone, and technology is no longer separate from its economic and social effects. Market growth is also no longer sufficient if it is not reflected in the stability of societies and their ability to prosper.
Leadership, meanwhile, serves as the factor that connects capital, technology, and society to a long-term objective, preventing investment from turning into short-term decisions governed by market disruptions.
From the Future to Legacy
The theme “The Power of Legacy” marks a notable shift in the initiative’s language.
In its early editions, the question revolved around the shape of the future and the sectors that would lead it. In the 10th edition, however, the question shifts to what today’s decisions will leave for future generations.
This shift comes at a time when the world is reassessing traditional investment models under the influence of artificial intelligence, changing labor markets, rising debt, disrupted supply chains, demographic transformations, and the growing political and economic divide among major powers.
The initiative therefore describes legacy as a tool for building long-term growth, not merely as a reflection on what has been achieved over the past years. The global question is no longer: How fast is growth? Rather: What can endure and continue?
Ten Years of Transformation
The Future Investment Initiative began in 2017 as an annual gathering in Riyadh, before developing into an international nonprofit foundation operating throughout the year through research, the organization of global gatherings, and support for influential innovations and investments.
According to the Foundation, its platform and international network have, since their inception, helped facilitate and showcase investments and initiatives valued at more than $250 billion. It is also supported by more than 45 strategic partners, alongside an international community comprising thousands of members from the investment, government, business, research, and innovation sectors.
These figures reveal that the initiative no longer relies solely on the value of attendance or the number of sessions. It is now measured by its ability to mobilize capital, build partnerships, and transform discussions into agreements and projects.
Riyadh as a Center of Decision-Making
The initiative’s development has coincided with the economic transformation led by Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s transition from presenting investment opportunities to participating in shaping global investment trends.
Riyadh no longer receives investors after they have made their decisions. It has become one of the cities where capital meets political and technological decision-making before determining its destination.
This is where the conference’s strategic value to the Kingdom lies, as it strengthens Saudi Arabia’s presence across three interconnected levels:
First: Consolidating Riyadh’s position as a platform where heads of state, policymakers, and leaders of capital meet.
Second: Directing international attention toward the opportunities created by Saudi Arabia’s economic transformations and projects.
Third: Presenting the Kingdom as a partner capable of creating opportunities beyond its borders, rather than merely as a market seeking to attract investment.
A More Mature Stage
Her Royal Highness Princess Dr. Maha bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz, CEO of the Future Investment Initiative Institute, expressed her appreciation for the royal patronage of the 10th edition, affirming that the leadership’s support represents a fundamental pillar of the comprehensive development journey and Saudi Vision 2030.
She explained that, over a decade, the initiative has brought together leaders who understand the power of investment in advancing human progress, and that the new edition calls on the global community to consider the legacy of the choices, partnerships, and innovations being adopted today.
This vision reflects the conference’s transition to a more mature stage. After ten years of building its presence and international networks, the priority is now to measure impact and sustainability, and to assess the ability of announced agreements to produce jobs, technologies, and projects capable of enduring.
The Real Test
Over four days, the conference will present a program addressing the most pressing economic and investment issues and anticipating the transformations that will reshape the global economy.
The importance of the 10th edition, however, will not be measured by the number of sessions and speakers alone, but by the quality of the decisions and agreements that emerge from it and their ability to answer practical questions:
Can long-term capital withstand geopolitical divisions?
How can artificial intelligence be employed to increase productivity without widening social disparities?
Can major investments combine economic returns with sustainable human impact?
It will also be important to determine how much investment will be directed toward future sectors, and how much of it will move from the announcement stage to implementation.
BETH Analysis
Choosing “The Power of Legacy” as the theme of the 10th edition is not so much a celebration of the past as it is a declaration of a new stage.
The initiative has demonstrated its ability to bring decision-makers and capital together in Riyadh. It now seeks to prove its ability to transform that gathering into an economic, technological, and human impact that remains after the conference ends.
For the Kingdom, the 10th edition represents an opportunity to present the outcome of a decade of transformation while opening a window onto the next decade, in which countries compete for capital, technology, and talent, not merely for resources and markets.
After ten years, the question is no longer: Can Riyadh bring the world together? It has already done so.
The question posed by the 10th edition is: Can it transform the power of convening into an investment legacy capable of withstanding political disruption and market volatility?
