The Crown Prince and the Syrian President discuss bilateral relations, regional developments, and efforts to de-escalate tensions

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a telephone call from Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

During the call, the Syrian President renewed his country’s condemnation and denunciation of the attempt by Iran-affiliated militias in Iraq to target oil facilities in the Kingdom, affirming Syria’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty.

The two leaders also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation between the two brotherly countries. They discussed regional and international developments, as well as ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and strengthen security and stability across the region.
