Leaders’ Messages… Ongoing Contacts Reflect Continued Regional Coordination

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received two phone calls today from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

During the call with the King of Bahrain, the two leaders reviewed the latest regional developments and the efforts being made to enhance security and stability in the region, in addition to discussing several issues of mutual interest.

During the call with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts in supporting the Memorandum of Understanding reached between the United States and Iran.

For his part, the Crown Prince welcomed the U.S.-Iran agreement to end military operations, praising Pakistan’s mediation efforts and reaffirming the Kingdom’s aspiration to reach a lasting agreement that would strengthen security and stability in the region. The two sides also discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The calls received by the Crown Prince highlight the continuation of regional diplomatic activity accompanying the post-war phase, at a time when the region remains in a period of testing for the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding.

Saudi Arabia’s welcome of the agreement, coupled with its emphasis on achieving a lasting settlement, reflects an understanding that the end of military operations does not necessarily mean the end of tensions, and that genuine stability requires addressing unresolved issues in a broader and more sustainable manner.

The call with the Pakistani Prime Minister also underscores Islamabad’s growing role as a channel of communication and regional mediator, while the Saudi-Bahraini contact reaffirms continued Gulf coordination in dealing with rapidly evolving developments.
