A New Landmark Takes Shape in Riyadh

HDB Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the final design of Tuwaiq Tower, currently under development in northern Riyadh at the intersection of King Fahd Road and Anas bin Malik Road in Al Malqa district. The tower is expected to be operated by one of the world's leading hotel brands.

The project will rise to approximately 305 meters and consist of 52 floors, with construction having already surpassed the 20th floor.

What Does This Mean?

This is not simply the story of another skyscraper.

It reflects Riyadh's continued transformation into a city creating its own globally recognized landmarks, as part of a broader effort to reshape the capital's urban, tourism, and economic landscape.

Who Benefits?

  • Hospitality and hotel operators.
  • Urban tourism.
  • Events and conference industries.
  • Real estate investments surrounding the project.
  • Commercial and service businesses across northern Riyadh.

An Opportunity Taking Shape

Major landmark projects create value far beyond their physical boundaries.

They often contribute to:

  • Increased investment attractiveness.
  • Higher commercial demand.
  • Growth in tourism activity.
  • Rising value of nearby real estate assets.

What Should We Watch?

The most important indicator is not the tower's height.

Rather, it is the scale of economic and tourism activity that will emerge around the project once completed.

Great landmarks are measured not by the number of floors they contain, but by their ability to attract visitors, investment, and create a distinctive urban identity.
