The 50th session of the Grand Hajj Symposium was launched in Jeddah, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in cooperation with the Council of Senior Scholars, under the title:
“The Symposium: An Effective Platform in Serving the Guests of الرحمن.. Half a Century of Knowledge Enrichment.”
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that the symposium represents an extension of an academic journey spanning more than fifty years, contributing to the development of the Hajj system while connecting the constants of Sharia with the changing realities of modern times.
He noted that Saudi Arabia has established an advanced global model in:
crowd management,
humanitarian services,
and smart operations,
through a system based on:
knowledge,
planning,
data,
and modern technologies.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom’s Grand Mufti Sheikh صالح الفوزان, in a speech delivered on his behalf, stressed the Saudi leadership’s commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and the Guests of الرحمن, emphasizing that the symposium represents an important intellectual and jurisprudential pillar in the development of Hajj services.
The symposium also featured discussion sessions and workshops addressing:
digital transformation,
crowd management,
awareness programs,
the healthcare system,
and the development of services for delegations and pilgrims,
in addition to the launch of the book:
“Safe Passage,”
which documents scenes from the Two Holy Mosques during the كورونا pandemic.

The 50th edition of the Grand Hajj Symposium reflects Saudi Arabia’s transformation of Hajj from:
a traditional seasonal management model,
into:
a global operational and knowledge-based system,
bringing together:
jurisprudence,
technology,
management,
and proactive planning,
within a vision aimed at enhancing the experience of the Guests of الرحمن and improving operational efficiency in the world’s largest annual human gathering.

Minister of Hajj Discusses Readiness with Pilgrim Mission Heads
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah met in Jeddah with 78 heads of pilgrim affairs offices from Islamic countries and nations with Muslim communities to review the readiness of the Hajj system for the 1447H season, on the sidelines of the 50th session of the Grand Hajj Symposium.
Al-Rabiah emphasized the importance of:
preparedness,
adherence to transportation and crowd movement plans,
and raising operational readiness levels,
particularly in light of the expected high temperatures during the season.
He also stressed:
combating fraudulent campaigns,
complying with regulations and instructions,
and benefiting from digital services, most notably the “Nusuk” app, which provides more than 100 services for pilgrims in over 11 languages.
