The Mind Before the Algorithm
Artificial Intelligence Does Not Create Genius .. But It May Reveal and Amplify It
Written by: Abdullah Al-Omairah
Many people still treat artificial intelligence as if it were:
a “magic button.”
You press it,
and genius simply appears on its own.
That is why,
whenever a different kind of work appears,
or a deep idea,
or an unconventional treatment,
you hear the repeated comment:
“Surely it’s AI.”
As if that sentence alone were enough to erase:
the idea,
the effort,
the analysis,
the awareness,
the brainstorming,
and the experience behind the work.
But the truth is:
Artificial intelligence does not create creators.
It reveals them.
Because AI is available to everyone.
So why doesn’t everyone produce the same level of work?
That is where the story begins —
the part many people fail to understand.
The issue is not:
the existence of the tool.
The real issue is:
the mind using it.
Artificial intelligence alone cannot produce profound work from:
shallow input,
a confused mind,
poor imagination,
or someone who does not even know what they truly want.
It is very much like:
an engine of enormous power.
But the real question is:
Who is driving it?
Toward what?
And with what vision?
That is why,
people from completely different backgrounds may sit in front of AI:
a journalist,
an artist,
a thinker,
a teenager,
a superficial person,
or a genius…
Yet the results will never be the same.
Because the value of the output is often tied to the depth of:
the questions,
the analysis,
the imagination,
the ability to connect ideas,
the understanding of people,
and the understanding of the idea itself.
Artificial intelligence does not create genius out of nothing.
It amplifies what already exists inside the user.
If the user carries:
awareness,
experience,
imagination,
and thought,
the result may become extraordinary.
But if the user carries:
superficiality,
noise,
and emptiness,
the outcome will most likely be:
a polished version of emptiness itself.
That is why,
the problem is not AI.
Sometimes,
the problem lies in minds that believe:
owning the tool
means owning creativity.
But reality says something entirely different:
Not every hand holding a pen…
is a writer.
And not every screen opening AI…
creates a creative mind.
Artificial intelligence will not eliminate the real human being.
It may instead rediscover the value of:
the real mind.
As for those who believe creativity is merely:
“pressing a button,”
perhaps their problem is not technology at all…
but the empty space they insist on calling:
thinking.
The difference between one mind and another
is not in possessing the tool…
but in the level of awareness guiding it.
Advice
Do not fear artificial intelligence…
Fear the superficial mind when it possesses a powerful tool it does not know how to think with.
Because tools alone do not create value.
And that is a professional and intellectual truth many still fail to understand.
