His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, has been awarded the “Global Peace Leader” prize by the international “Message of Islam” Conference in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, in a step reflecting the expanding Saudi presence in regional and international stability files, and the growing perception of the Kingdom as a key player in promoting balance and de-escalation in the region.

The Situation

The award was announced during the sixth edition of the “Message of Islam” Conference, organized by the Pakistan Ulema Council in cooperation with international Islamic and religious organizations, with the participation of religious, intellectual, and political figures from several Islamic countries.

Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, stated that granting the award to the Saudi Crown Prince comes in recognition of his efforts in serving Islam and Muslims, supporting regional and international peace, promoting moderation, and defending the causes of the Islamic nation.

This recognition comes at a time witnessing escalating international and regional crises, from the Russia–Ukraine war to tensions in the Middle East, giving any discourse related to peace and stability a political and diplomatic dimension that goes beyond the traditional ceremonial aspect.
