SAR 1 Billion from the Crown Prince to Accelerate Housing Empowerment
Riyadh | B
In a qualitative initiative reflecting both humanitarian and developmental dimensions, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, provided a generous donation of SAR 1 billion from his personal funds to support home ownership for eligible families across the Kingdom.
The initiative was implemented through the National Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan), represented by the “Jood Housing” platform, under a direct directive to complete and deliver housing projects within a period not exceeding 12 months.
During the period from April 2025 to April 2026, the journey of giving was completed with the delivery of housing units to beneficiary families through national companies, within an integrated operational framework that included:
- Regular monitoring of projects
- Monthly reports to ensure quality and speed of delivery
- Execution in accordance with the highest standards
The initiative aimed to provide a dignified life for the most vulnerable families and enhance housing stability across all regions of the Kingdom.
BETH Analysis
The initiative should not be read as financial support alone…
but as a model of execution:
Speed in decision-making… and discipline in implementation
What stands out in this experience:
- A clearly defined timeframe (12 months)
- Full national execution
- Linking giving to a tangible outcome (actual home ownership)
This reflects a shift in the philosophy of development work:
From initiatives… to measurable delivery
What was achieved within one year
goes beyond the concept of traditional support
It confirms that:
When giving is managed efficiently.. it becomes a sustainable impact
