The Royal Commission for Riyadh City is preparing to open the Western Station within the Riyadh Metro network, as one of the main stations on the Orange Line (Line 3), in a step that reflects the accelerating readiness of the project to enter full operation.

The station features an architectural design inspired by sand dunes, a visual expression that reflects local identity within a modern framework. It is also integrated with the wider transport system, offering underground parking, a bus station, a mosque, and commercial spaces—making it a comprehensive service hub, not merely a transit point.

The Orange Line is one of the longest routes in the network, extending from the east to the west of the city, forming a vital corridor linking residential areas with economic centers. It is part of a network of six lines covering most of Riyadh, and is considered one of the largest public transport projects in the world, with a total length exceeding 170 kilometers.

This step comes ضمن a broader vision aimed at improving urban mobility efficiency, reducing congestion, and enhancing quality of life, by integrating the metro with the bus network and providing a seamless transition between different modes of transport.

The Western Station is not merely a new facility…
but a signal that a moment of transformation is approaching.

The design here is not only aesthetic,
but a message:
identity is embedded within the structure… not added onto it.

As major stations reach completion,
the project shifts from “massive construction”…
to a daily system of life.

The Riyadh Metro is not just building tracks…
it is reshaping the rhythm of the city.
