His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz confirmed that the book “Saud Al-Faisal” was released as an open legacy for all, as an exceptional charitable work that embodies الوفاء to the journey of the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal and appreciation for his diplomatic and humanitarian role.
Body
His Highness explained that the publication comes ضمن the efforts of Al Turath Foundation to document the life and journey of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, and to highlight his contributions at both the national and international levels.
He pointed out that making the electronic version of the book freely available to the public received wide engagement, exceeding 1.5 million views in one day, reflecting the prominent place the late Prince holds in public sentiment and the level of appreciation for his legacy.
The book was launched on 11 April 2026 at King Faisal Palace in Al-Maathar district, during a ceremony organized by Al Turath Foundation in cooperation with King Faisal Foundation, marking the first event held at the palace after its restoration and transformation into a museum documenting the legacy of King Faisal.
The electronic version is available through the foundation’s official website.
BETH Analysis
The shift from a “book” to an “open legacy” reflects a transition in the concept of documentation from exclusivity to inclusiveness, where history is no longer confined to the specialized reader, but becomes accessible material upon which a conscious collective memory is built.
Making the book digitally available in this way not only preserves the biography, but re-presents it to new generations in the language of access, giving the experience a dimension that goes beyond documentation to sustained impact.
